Ameena Bull
Lived-Experience Practitioner
I am a lived‑experience life coach with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging situations. My background includes frontline work in addiction recovery, navigating complex health and social care systems, and rebuilding my own life after instability, trauma and housing issues.
I’ve lived through the systems that I now help people to navigate. I know how overwhelming it can feel to ask for help, to start again, or to try to make sense of services that don’t always meet you where you are. That’s why my work is grounded in compassion, honesty and real‑world understanding, no judgement, no jargon, just support when you need it.
Freedom To Choose
Relaying My Foundations provides support through a series of texts, calls, video sessions or meetings. Together, we focus on understanding your situation, identifying your next steps, and building a foundation that supports your long‑term plan and well-being. Support is flexible and built around real life. You can choose the format:
Text Support
Text support sessions offer a calm, low‑pressure way to talk things through at your own pace.
Text support may suit you if:
- Prefer time to think before responding.
- You need privacy to discuss things fully.
Telephone
Phone support sessions provide real‑time support without the intensity of being seen.
Telephone calls may suit you if:
- Prefer to talk things through verbally.
- You are busy and need support while on the move.
Video Calls
Video support sessions offer face‑to‑face connection from the comfort of your own space.
Video calls may suit you if:
- You feel reassured by seeing the person you’re speaking to.
- You want a more relational conversation style.
Meetings
A private, purpose‑built consultation room is currently being developed, to offer in‑person support sessions in a safe and confidential environment.
In-person meetings may suit you if:
- If you need a calm, quite and safe environment away from home.
How We’ll Work Together
I offer a free 15‑minute introduction call so we can meet, talk about what you’re dealing with, and decide whether we’re the right fit. This first conversation is relaxed, pressure‑free and focused on understanding what you need right now.
If you decide to continue, you can book 40‑minute sessions in the format that works best for you, text, calls, video or in‑person (coming soon). Sessions are flexible and built around real life, so they can fit around your work, family and everything else you’re juggling. Full sessions are £40 for 40 minutes, on a donation basis.

Reviews
Most people who find this service have already been through enough. They’ve dealt with services that didn’t listen, professionals who didn’t get it, and systems that made everything harder. These reviews are from people who wanted something different, real support from someone who’s lived it and their words speak for themselves. Here is what people have said about working with me:
“I’ve worked with so many professionals who made me feel like a problem. Ameena was the first person who spoke to me like an equal. She helped me break things down into steps I could actually manage. I’ve made more progress in a few weeks than I did in years of trying to do it alone.”
"Ameena reminded me that being an addict didn’t make me undeserving of support, stability or a future. She helped me sort out things I’d been too overwhelmed to face alone, and she did it without making me feel small. For the first time in a long time, I feel like a person again.”
“I didn’t have to explain the basics or justify why things were hard. She already knew. She is not someone reading from a script. She helped me prepare for appointments, understand my rights, and to make decisions that actually made sense for me. I feel like I’m moving forward.”
